Now through July 2012, take a stroll through the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden and see how many fabulous works of art you can find! An outdoor exhibition that blends nature with sculpture, this annual event is an incredible way to spend the day with friends and family. Nestled within the lush grounds are more than 17 pieces of art, many of which incorporate recycled or found materials. Finding all 17 is a great challenge, and makes a fun scavenger hunt for kids!
Established in 1935, The Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden is a 15 acre habitat which houses over 450 native plants, with birds and butterflies as well. Located at mm 4.5 off College Road, it offers 8 self-guided tours that include 2 butterfly gardens, 2 wet-land habitats, a Cuban Chug exhibit, a hardwood hammock and more. Artists displayed throughout the grounds include Lois Giffen, Jackie Sanchez, Jim Racchi, Robert D’Antonio, Richard Cook, Jiwan Noah Singh and Katie Turax Alexander, among many others!
