It’s only December 18th here in beautiful Key West, but already we found two events happening today that are celebrating New Year’s Eve and the End of the World, respectively.
First up, those wishing to escape from the sun and heat for a few hours this afternoon should swing by the Key West Public Library, whose Tuesday Movie Matinee series continues this afternoon with a 3:30pm screening of “New Year’s Eve,” an ensemble movie that follows the intertwined lives of couples & singles living in New York City. The KW Public Library is located at 700 Fleming Street.
Next up, Key West’s newest (and only) tequila bar, Agave 308, invites you to celebrate their opening with a “Drink to the End of the World Grand Opening Party,” happening tonight from 7:00pm until the wee hours of the morning (or until the world ends, we guess.) With $2 tequila shots, $3 agave wheat beers, $4 margaritas and a spread of free food, this is one bar opening you won’t want to miss! Agave 308 is located at 308 Front Street (street-level below the RoofTop Bar).
Both of the above events are just a quick cab or bicycle ride away from our gorgeous Key West Hotel, Parrot Key Hotel and Resort. Ask our front desk for directions!
